Front office management packages are available to interface to the Ericsson system, which provides basic call accounting information, as well as automatic barring / unbarring of guest phones and even guest name entry (once the guest name is entered, this will show on the screen of a display phone when called from the guest unit – ideal for restaurant or tour booking desks). Room clean & available status gives Property Managers the ability to see at a glance which rooms are ready to occupy. This will result in quicker turn around for new vacancies.

Cordless handsets can be installed for Property Managers or their staff to still be productive throughout the complex, while still being available to answer guest bookings and internal enquiries. The coverage of these phones has been tested across large and difficult sites, and has proved invaluable.

The Ericsson BusinessPhone Hotel has also been designed to interface with your Front Desk or Check-in system. This intelligent link makes it simple to enter and retrieve guest information so that Reception is always kept up-to-date on guest status, bar and restaurant expenses, and room availability.


Samsung has introduced DCS Hotel and DCS Hotel Plus software specifically for the small to medium sized hotels. Both solutions offer a sophisticated front-office management system and comprehensive range of guest services with other operational benefits which can supply up to 98 rooms with 5 star service capabilities.

These systems have been designed for ease of use, either with dynamic menu prompts on the operator’s digital handsets or using Windows based Hotel Plus software application. Either package can operate as a stand-alone, or with most existing property management systems (PMS).

Samsung hospitality solutions allow your all-important guests to receive the best possible services, from smooth check-in/check-out, automatic wake up calls, message waiting notification, and direct dialling to room. Your business will benefit by being able to have automatic generation of consolidated guest accounts, multiple room tariffs and tax rates, automatic credit control options, on-line room status, customized invoicing to include your corporate image and valuable marketing data from your own comprehensive customer database.

Each room can also be equipped with a separate wired or wireless connection- an important consideration for today’s business traveller and another opportunity for increased profit.

By using Telstra’s ISDN service with the Samsung system, you can provide each of your rooms with its own number for direct dialling, and by adding the Voicemail option, you will find your guests have everything they need in communications while on holiday or travelling on business.


The Hybrex BX8 is ideal for the Motel / Hotel Industry, providing standard software features which are optional on other brands. Features include built-in Call Accounting, Wake Up Calls, Room to Room Dialling, Room and Extension Number Correlation, Check In/Check Out and Clean Room status. With Meter Pulse Detection, customer room accounts can be printed to a serial printer thereby saving the cost of providing a computer to run your Call Accounting. This is a simple way of upgrading from an older system.
